Abstract

PURPOSE: To reproduce reducing reaction, softening, melting, and separation behavior of slag of iron ores at high temperature in a blast furnace at high fidelity, and to enable estimation of molten layer from its generation to extinction sufficiently.
CONSTITUTION: An upper drip guide 16 is provided beneath a specimen tube 7 through a mesh tray 11-2, and a lower drip guide 17 is provided further beneath, and a drip guide tube 13 is provided still further beneath. The space between the guide tube 13 and a support cylinder 15 provided on the periphery of the guide tube 13 is filled with granules to compose a gas heating band 14. The upper end of the heating band 14 communicates with the outer circumference of the drip guide 17, and the lower end thereof communicates with a gas preheating furnace 29. The heating band 14 is designed to be heated from the outer circumference by heat generating bands 19-1 to 19-4 provided in multiple stages in the vertical direction through a furnace core tube 8. A drip tray 10 is furnished in a manner movable downward from the guide tube 13. By thus constituting, the dynamic properties of packed layer may be measured continuously, and the obtained molten metal may be taken continuously in correspondence with the measurements.
