Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover suspension as manure, by separating suspension into digestion sludge and digestion separated liquid by adding compounds dissociating Mg3+ and PO2-4 in water solution, and by producing sludge containing a large quantity of H3PO3 and NH3.
CONSTITUTION: Magnesium hydroixide, oxide, H3PO3, phosphate, etc. are added to raw suspension or a digestion tank, and the precipitation of NH4MgPO4 is formed in the digestion tank from H3PO3 and ammoniacal N2. Since the extremely long retension time (Normally, 15W30 days) of the digestion tank is utilized for the formation of precipitation, crystalline precipitation with excellent dehydration force is created, thus also improving the dehydration force of digested excess sludge. If applying this method for an anaerobic digestion process, the advantage that the quantity of CH4 formed increases at approx. 10W15 % is also brought.
