Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely convey powder, by introducing the powder into a blow tank and thereafter introducing a ball into the tank and supplying compressed air into the tank and discharging the powder into an outlet conveying pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The outlet port 5 of the blow tank 1 is continuous to the conveying pipe 6. The coupled part of the tank with the pipe has a perfectly circular cross section. A conveyor 11 for introducing the powder 10 and a feeder 13 for the ball 12 are installed over a hopper 2. After the powder 10 is introduced into the blow tank 1 by opening a gate 3, the ball 12 is dropped down from the feeder 13. Then, the gate 3 is closed and the air is supplied from nozzles 8, 9 into the tank 1. Thereby, the powder is discharged into the conveying pipe 6 while stirred. Rear blowing is not needed. The blow-through phenomenon does not take place. Adhesive powder can be also surely conveyed.
