Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject method comprising the steps of: providing hollow thread bundles in a retentive water zone, introducing exygen in the inner part thereof, and exygen is supplied through membranes to microbes adhering on the surfaces of hollow threads, thereby to clean retentive water by the effects of the microbes.
CONSTITUTION: Hollow thread bundles are installed in a retentive water zone such as water tank, ponds, swamp, lake, moat, fishpond, or the like, and while introducing exygen into the inner parts of said thread bundles aerobic microbes are caused to adhere to the surfaces of the outer parts thereof. Oxygen is supplied from the inner part to the mocrobes which have adhered to the surfaces through hollow thread membranes to cause the same to grow thereby to subject water in the retentive zone to cleaning treatment.
