Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily perform complete penetration welding and make a connected part which has a high reliability and can be examined by non-destructive test such as radiation test, by previously making a projection on a container or pipe by build-up welding.
CONSTITUTION: To connect a branch pipe 2 to the container or pipe 1, the projection 3 is previously made on the container or pipe by build-up welding. The projection 3 and the branch pipe 2 are so set to each other that they are welded to each other to complete penetration. The projection 3 can be made from an optional material according in chemical composition, mechanical properties, etc. to either the branch pipe 2 or the cotainer or pipe 1. Therefore, the branch pipe 2 can be welded to the container or pipe 1 to complete penetration, and a non-destructive test suchs as a radiation test can be applied.
