Abstract

PURPOSE: To quantitatively measure the tackiness of molding material in a semi- molten or molten state by holding the molding material in place between the upper and lower discs in a heated state, rotating the lower disc and measuring the rotating torque being loaded to the upper disc.
CONSTITUTION: An upper disc 1 and lower disc 2 are provided in a pair above and below and may be separately heated. The upper disc 1 may be moved vertically and in the upper part it connects to a load applicator and is able to apply an arbitrary load with its bottom face 13. The lower disc 2 is rotatably provided. With the upper disc 1 and lower disc 2 being in a heated state, a molding material is placed on the top face 14 of the lower disc 2 and the upper disc 1 is lowered to press the molding material with its bottom face 13. With the molding material being held pressed, the lower disc 2 is being rotated at a constant speed, during which time the rotating torque applied to the upper disc 1 is measured, thus the tackiness of the molding material in a semi-molten or molten state is quantitatively measured. At this time, measurement is performed by changing the measurement conditions such as the gap or temperature between the upper and lower discs, the rotating speed of the lower disc, the amount of the molding material to be placed, the load application quantity of the upper disc, etc. in various ways.
