Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain safe operation of crane, by forming an air curtain along the surface of window glass of operator's cabin of crane or the like with a portion of clean air supplied to the cabin, and thereby protecting the window from contamination.
CONSTITUTION: A travelling crane is installed along the ceiling of a factory of ceramic works or iron works. Usually, atmosphere in the factory contains a large amount of noxious gas, smoke and dust. Girder 2 for the travelling crane is extended along the ceiling of the factory 1, and an enclosed type operator's cabin 3 is provided on the girder 2. In the cabin 3, ther is provided a suction duct 4 for supplying clean air, and arrangement is such that clean air can be supplied if crane travels along the girder 2. A branch duct 6 is connected to a portion of the suction duct 4, for blowing air along the surface of winow of the cabin 3 to form an air curtain along the window. Here, in case that pressure of air for blowing off dust or the like on the window surface is too low, it is possible to provide means 8 for increasing the air pressure.
