Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the device smaller in size and improve the removal efficiency by combining a filter-chamber having a reverse washing device to a precipitation chamber having an exit overflow dam.

CONSTITUTION: A filter chamber 10, which has a level gauge 14 and a filter 12, and to which are connected a drain pipe 13, a sup lementary drain pipe 16 and a reverse washing device, is connected to a precipitation chamber 1 with an inlet port 2 and an exit overflow dam 6, on the side of the exit overflow dam 6. Under this structure, waste water supplied into an inlet chamber 4 through an inlet pipe 3 flows quietly over the oxit overflow dam 5 into the precipitation chamber 1; after large flocks are precipitated, the supernatant liquid flows out over the exit overflow dam 6 into an exit chamber 7, then flows into a filter chamber 10 through a connecting pipe 11; after very fine flocks are removed by a filter 12, the treated liquid, which then flows into a pump 19 through a drain pipe 13 etc., fittingly cleans with its reverse flow the filter 12 by the operation of reverse flow washing device composed of a pump 20, valves 17, 23, 26 etc.
