Abstract

PURPOSE: To collect through absorption magnetic grain onto a magnetic pole surface placed on a wall surface of a cylindrical body and separate liquid from collected magnetic grain through dehydration by the means of screw type compressing placed in an inside cylinder that has liquid permeability.
CONSTITUTION: A magnetic drum 4, on whose periphery are placed permanent magnets 3 through strong magnetic substance 2, is rotated by an electric motor 7. A screw type hydroextractor 20 is set inside the magnetic drum 4 with its screw- press port 21 covered with porous metal to let out water squeezed by being pressed. Liquid containing magnetic grain is sent into the magnetic drum 4, and magnetic grain is caught by the drum 4, transported as the drum 4 rotates, and separated by a scraper 5 to be transported into a hydroextractor 20. Here, water is pushed out by the pressure generated from a screw rotation, and magnetic grain is taken out through an exhaust port 27.
