Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent cooling of a blast furnace due to leakage of water by calulating the amt. of water leaked in accordance with the behavior of hydrogen in the furnace and compensating heat corresponding to the amt. CONSTITUTION:In blast furnace 1, input-output controller 2 and computer 3, some information concerned with the amt. of hydrogen charged is fed to controller 2 from blast flow meter 4, blast moisture content measuring device 5, blown liquid fuel flow meter 6 and burden wt. measuring device 7. On the other hand, some information about the amt. of hydrogen discharged is sent to controller 2 from formed blast furnace gas compsn. measuring device 8, and hydrogen usage rate is calculated in computer 3. Next the amt. of water leaked is calculated using the difference between the rate and a usage rate level, the means value of past usage rates. The calculated amt. is indicated by digital indicator 14 and monitored. At the time of leakage of water, heat quantity to be compensated corresponding to the amt. of water leaked is calculated, and moisture control, the ore content of burden, etc. are suitably changed to prevent cooling of the furnace due to leakage of water.
