Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a unique word detector with its hardware constitution simplified. CONSTITUTION:This detector is provided with input terminals 1a and 1b, parallel- series converter 2, shift register 3, correlator 4, decoding matrix 5, and output terminals 6 and 7. For a channel with two unique words, bit sequences are used which are identical or in relation of NOT. Only one correlator 4 is therefore required and its hardware constitution becomes simpler than convertional one.
