Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible easy, automatic leveling for H-beam, etc., by deciding the working curvature from various factors like as the product size, material property, sectional shape of unleveled material, distribution of bend, etc., and by obtaining the leveling load.
CONSTITUTION: When the H-beam is to be roller leveled, the number of necessary rollers,roller gap, and the working curvature at the position of individual rollers, are decided so as to make the leveled product H-beam to pass the settled allowable tolerance for the bend, and allowable dimensional accuracy of its section; heraupon, above stated decision is obtained from various factors like as the product size, the material property, the distribution of bend in unleveled material, the sectional shape of unleveled material, etc. Then, the leveling load for above mentioned conditions is obtained from the operational formula depending on the bending deformation theory in consideration of Bauschinger effect; and the rolling reduction is settled in consideration of various properties in leveling works, like as the dent deformation of web, the rigidity of the leveler, etc.; hereby, the leveling work is carried out. According to this method, the material deterioration at the contact portion of the leveling roller and the leveled material, and the defective shape, can be restrained. Therefore, the adequate forecast for settling the rollers becomes possible
