CONSTITUTION:In order to flatten the frequency-temperature characteristics of a compound vibrator, it is necessary to raise the peak temperature of the vibrator at high temperature side to extend the separation of peak temperatures. By using the phenomenon that the peak temperature is raised when the thickness of the electrode film is reduced, this purpose may be achieved by making the thickness of the electrode film of the high temperature side vibrator smaller than the thickness of the electrode film of the low temperature side vibrator. The electrode film is composed of a first layer which is directly in tight contact with the vibrator and a second layer which is formed thereon. At this time, by making the ratio of the thickness of the second layer to the length of the first layer smaller than 2, and by making the total thickness of the first layer and second layer films smaller than 1/400 of the thickness of the vibrator, the peak temperature of the vibrator may be raised.
