Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the title compounds simultaneously in high yield, by the vaporphase catalytic oxidation of isobutylene and n-butene at a lower reaction temperature, using a catalyst where Co, and Se, Zn, Nb, etc. are added to Mo-Sb-Bi- Fe-Ni-K, etc.-O.
CONSTITUTION: Methacrolein, methacrylic acid and 1, 3-butadiene are obtained by the vaporphase catalytic oxidation of isobutylene and n-butene with an oxygen source such as air at 200-450°C, especially 250-400°C, using a catalyst of formula containing Co and Y (X is potassium, rubidium, cesium or thallium; Y is selenium, zinc, niobium, vanadium or ruthenium; a, b, c, d, e, f, g and h show atomic ratios of each element: when a=12, b=0.2-20, c=0.2-12, d=0.2-12, e=0.2-12, f=0.2- 12, g=0.01-4, and h=0.01-4; i is a value decided by the oxidative state of a catalyst)
