Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When NOx is catalytically reduced by adding NH3 to gas containing SOx and NOx as a reducing agent, the temp of a catalyst layer is made ot be not more than approx. 300°C -preferably, not more than approx. 280°C. Consequently, (Acidic) (NH4)2SO4 is segregation attached into the catalyst layer, thus preventing the precipitation of these salt after the catalyst layer. This method can operated a denitration device efficiently. and stably for a long term
