Abstract
PURPOSE: To cool high-temp. solid uniformly to a prescribed temp., by automatically controlling with plural temp. and press. sensors the flow and press. of cooling gas flowing into multistage blowing holes, which are made over whole periphery of a cooling chamber at positions lower than the plural sensors installed around the side wall of the cooling chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Lower part of a cooling chamber, where high-temp. solid is cooled, is constituted of plural multistage pipes of truncated cone shape with small gaps left between them. Around the upper side gap is installed a chamber 4, which is divided into small chambers 3, and each gap at each small chamber is used for a gas-blowing hole. Around the lower side gap is installed similarly a chamber 8. Temp. and press. sensors 15 arranged around the side wall upper than the blowing holes 5, 7 detect temp. and press., and operators 16 compute the required amount and press. of cooling gas X which is to be blown into the blowing holes 5, 7, and the cooling gas is blown in by automatic control of the respective flow for branch pipes 12, 14, and press. control valves 11, 13. Consequently high-temp. solid 2 is cut while being cooled uniformly because it is cooled with cooling gas of optimal flow and press. even when the particle void is uneven
