Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool high-temp. solid uniformly to a prescribed temp., by automatically controlling with plural temp. and press. sensors the flow and press. of cooling gas flowing into multistage blowing holes, which are made over whole periphery of a cooling chamber at positions lower than the plural sensors installed around the side wall of the cooling chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Lower part of a cooling chamber, where high-temp. solid is cooled, is constituted of plural multistage pipes of truncated cone shape with small gaps left between them. Around the upper side gap is installed a chamber 4, which is divided into small chambers 3, and each gap at each small chamber is used for a gas-blowing hole. Around the lower side gap is installed similarly a chamber 8.
