PURPOSE:To provide a gate support post for dump truck body in which the gates can be separately opened or closed except for dumping through the body where the tail gate is opened at the bottom thereof while checking any protrudind matter from damaging the surface of the body deck board. CONSTITUTION:On the both side at the rear of the body 1, the under surface of deck board 2 is provided with blackets 8 on which is pivoted the tip of a connecting member 7 solidly mounted to the bottom of a box-shaped body 6 like L. A support post 5 is mounted to the connecting member behing a side gate 3 in such a manner as to be free to rotate vertically while a retaining member 9 is provided on the side rim of the side gate 3 to retain the support post 5 and the deck board 2 when the former is erected on the later with a pin. The side gate 3 and a tail gate 12 pivoted rotatively on the body 1 respectively with hinges 4 and an opening/closing device 17 is mounted to the support post through respective binding fixtures 18 and binding devices 13 and 14.
