Abstract

1,209,772. Tipping vehicles. G. E. NEVILLE. 19 Sept., 1968 [23 Sept., 1967]. No. 43406/67. Heading B7B. A tipping body 2 has a link 12 pivoted to it at 16, the link 12 carrying, on pivot 11, a. member 7 having a surface 14 normally held against the link 12 by a tension spring 15. A lever pivotally attached to the body at 3 and the tailboard at 6 is connected by the link 9 to the member 7 so that the tailboard is opened and closed automatically. Should material such as 17 be trapped under the tailboard the spring 15 extends to prevent damage to the linkwork. The member 7 may be pivoted below the link 12 or on the chassis and the pivot 10 for the link 9 may be between the pivots 3 and 6.
