Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the furnace water wall for a natural circulation boiler from burning out by detecting the balance between the heat load at the furnace water wall and the water circulation amount in the boiler.
CONSTITUTION: In a natural circulation boiler in which water fed by a feed water pump 20 to a drum 1 is introduced through downcast pipes 8 into risers 9, heated by fuel, returned again to the drum 1, passed through a superheater 23, and fed to a turbine, the high pressure side detecting seat 12 of a water level detector 5 for calculating the pressure deviation between the low pressure side detecting seat 11 and the high pressure side detecting seat 12 from the pressure at the seat 12 with the pressure at the seat 11 as a standard and converting it to a drum water level is provided at the lowermost end of the pipes 8 as a detecting type including the position head of the pipes 8. The seat 12 measures the saturated water flow amount passing through the water wall in the furnace to thereby obtain the balance between the saturated water circulating amount and the heat load of the fuel in order to prevent the water wall from burning out
