Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the centering in the installation of machines regardless of deviation between the axis of the drum and that of the tip support by means of an eccentric bush and an eccentric pin used for the bearing in a spectacle-shaped tip support device for hoop coilers.
CONSTITUTION: An eccentric pin 4 and eccentric bushes 3 and 5 are used to accomplish the centering between the rotary fulcrum a of a tip support device, a drum shaft bearing b and a positioning pin c. When centering the drum shaft and the bearing of the support device, the eccentric bushes 3 and 5 are set up to the reference point. Then, with the bearing b assigning the drum axis, a liner 18 is worked through a proper adjustment. In this manner, a positioning can be done. The eccentric bush 5 and the eccentric pin are adjusted by turning thereof around a support arm 1 for the intended article and likewise, the eccentric bush 3 is turned around a fixing frame for the article to make an adjustment. Upon completion of the positioning, the eccentric bushes 3 and 5 and the eccentric pin 4 are fixed to the article with a bolt or the like.
