Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible high performance continuous detection by providing a plurality of detecting elements at respectively different angles with respect to the revolving shaft of a rotating body, phase-compensating the output signals from the respective detecting elements then adding these thereby measuring the unbalance quantity of the rotating body.
CONSTITUTION: Four detecting elements 8 thru 11 of the same kind are coupled to the shaft of a rotating body at respectively different angles. If there is an unblance, vibrations in the diameteral direction occur in the shaft of the rotating body 1 according to the unbalance quantity. The vibrations are drawn out as electric signals in the detecting elements 8 thru 11 via contactors 21 thru 24. The outputs of the elements 8 thru 10 are applied to amplifiers 13, 15, 17 through phase compensators 12, 14, 16 and the output of the element 11 is applied to an amplifier 18. After the outputs of the amplifiers 13 thru 18 are added in an adder 19, an instrument 7 is driven to display the unbalance quantity. Hence, the detection of fast response time and high reliability may be performed by using a plurality of detecting elements and phase-compensating the resultant signals.
