Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce cost and to improve realiability by placing dielectric having positive and netative temperature coefficients between low and high voltage electrodes of main and voltage dividing capacitors.
CONSTITUTION: Dielectric having positive and negative temperature coefficients composed of insulation oil impregnated paper 12 containing oil gap 13 at proper position is inserted between low voltage electrode 8 and high voltage electrode 9 of main capacitor 10 and voltage dividing capacitor 11. Consequently even when ambient temperature of said capacitors 10, 11 is varied, temperature coefficients of dielectric coefficients between oil-impregnated paper 12 and mineral oil in oil gap 13 are cancelled to maintain the capacitance constant, thereby reliability of current transformer is improved while since the dielectric is composed of insulating paper such as craft paper and mineral oil material cost is reduced.
