Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an oriented electrical steel sheet with cuperior B10 and iron loss characteristics by adding an alkali metal cpd. contg. Na or K to a separating agent for annealing and then coating a steel sheet with the cpd.-added agent, followed by final annealing. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel contg. C; 0.025-0.085%, Si; 2-4% and acid sol. Al; 0.01-0.065% is hot rolled, continuously annaled at a high temp. of 950- 1,200 deg.C prior to final strong cold rolling, and quenched to allow AIN to precipitate and cohere. Thereafter, final cold rolling is carried out at a reduction ratio of 81-95%, followed by decarburization annealing and final annealing. At this time, to a separating agent for annealing coated on the sheet is added 0.01-5wt% of one or more kinds of alkali metal cpds. contg. Na or K. By the addn. of the cpds. an interfacial shielding effect is obtd. through the reaction with SiO2 in the film, and hence the absorption and release of N can be controlled. Accordingly, the B10 characteristics, e.g. magnetic flux density of the sheet can be increased by 0.02-0.05 wb/m<2> and the iron loss W17/50 by 0.05-0.1W/kg.
