Abstract

PURPOSE:To let both-side copying to be accurately performed with a simple constitution by inverting the leading end and trailing end of the copying material being conveyed forward after ending of copying on one side on the way of its conveying thence placing the material and again letting the same advance thereby copying the other side. CONSTITUTION:Copying paper 27 having undergone copying is conveyed up to an inversion branching device 32. First, in the case of one-side copying, the copying paper 27 is conveyed upward by passing the route A and is stacked on a paper discharge tray 34 or enters a sorter 35. In the case of both-side copying, the copying paper immediately after emitting from the route A displaces from the state of the solid line 27-a to the state of the dotted line 27-b by the action of an intermediate roller 52, then it passes the route B, by which its leading end and trailing end are inverted. The paper with its image side being faced upward is then placed on the containing part 38. Since the containing part 38 tilts forward, to leading ends of the copying paper are automatically matched. Following the this, paper feeding of both-side copying is accomplished and this completes the both-side copying. The both-side copying of copying paper may be performed accurately by such simple constitution.
