Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate holding and loading by shifting the position of sheet in such a way that a sheet shift means to shift the sheet in horizontal direction to the proceeding direction of sheet is provided on the sheet conveying path.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet conveyor 9 is made into a sheet shift means which consists of the first to third feed roller pairs 10, 11, 12 to make conveying action to the sheet 5, and the first and second bevel roller pairs 13, 14 so as to make the sheet 5 straightly progress in the direction of arrow B toward a paper expelling tray 8. In this case, the bevel roller pairs 13, 14 are arranged catercorner so as to feed the sheet 5 shifted in the inclined direction C. And, in case of shifting the sheet 5, the first to third feed roller pairs 10, 11, 12 are cleared from one another, and the bevel roller pairs 13, 14 are brought into contact with each other. Then, the sheet 5 is fed by the bevel roller pairs 13, 14 only. Thus, it facilitates to operate the sheet shift means composed of the bevel rollers, shift the sheet from its proceeding direction sideways, hold, and load the sheet.
