Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a high-frequency electric field leaking into an operation space by converging the more high-frequency electric field inside of a cavity resonator by providing a projection part to a part except the tip of a vane with an interval between adjacent vanes shorter than the interval of the tip part.
CONSTITUTION: Anode vanes 12 are arranged radially surrounding cylindrical cathode 11 and their outer terminals are fixed to anode cylinder 13. To upper and lower ends of vanes, a pair of ring straps 14 are fixed shorting alternate vanes. At the middle parts of vanes, projection parts 18 are provided and their opposite intervals (t1) are made equal to or less than opposite intervals (t2) at vane tip parts 16a. As a result, a high-frequency electric magnetic field generated at tip parts lessens and the flux density of the operation space can be reduced. Therefore, a permanent magnet can be miniaturized and conversion efficiency of a direct-current input into microwave power of the cavity resonator also improves.
