Abstract

PURPOSE: Porous hoop is passed through paste-filled bath and vibrated in small amplitude by scrapers moving in a position nearly contacting with the surface of the hoop, thereby enhancing the quantity of paste filled in the hoop.
CONSTITUTION: A three dimensional net metal hoop 1 is continuously fed by the rolls 2 into the paste-filled bath 3. Paste is agitated by the stirrer 4 in the bath 3. The surface of the paste is maintained slightly higher than the surface of hopp 1. The moving bench 7 is reciprocated by the motor 12 in parallel to the advancing direction of the hoop 1. The bench 7 holds the ultrasonic hone 6 whose tip is placed slightly spaced from the surface of the hoop 1. Scrapers 14 mounted at the tips of the horns 6 are nearly contacting with the surface of the hoop 1, transmitting ultrasonic vibration to the paste of the hoop surface for its vigorous agitaion, thus facilitating paste filling in the hoop 1.
