Abstract
PURPOSE: In regard with liquid cleaning up operation in a tanker, the equipment cost can be reduced and the more efficient gas-liquid separation can be carried out by applying this cleaning method to gas-liquid separation in a special cargo tank of several ones.
CONSTITUTION: Valves 12a, 14a are closed and regular unloading operation is carried out in cargo tanks 2,3,4 by means of a cargo pump 10. In regard with liquid cleaning operation in each of cargo tanks 2,3,4 followed by the regular unloading operation, if valves 12a, 14a are closed, not only gas is extracted from a gas-liquid separation tank 9 by a bleeding exhauster 13 driven by the discharge pressure of the cargo pump 10 through a working liquid supply pipe 12, but also the liquid exhausted from the bleeding exhauster 13 is introduced into a special cargo tank 2 through a gas-liquid separation pipe 15 and the liquid separated from the said fluid is reserved in the cargo tank 2. Finally the liquid is exhausted from the special cargo tank 2.
