Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect incomplete combustion accurately by arranging the oxygen concentration cell of which one end is in the atmospherer where there is much oxygen under the normal combustion and the other electrode contacts the combustion flame in constant oxygen shortage. CONSTITUTION:The oxygen concentration cell is heated to some hundred centigrade degree at both sides by the combustion of the main burner 2 and the flame B from the small burner 3, and the output impedance drops to some hundred ohm. The oxygen concentration difference of the atmosphere in which the porous electrodes 12 and 13 contact is extremely large and the oxygen concentration cell 1 generates about 600 mV-800 mV electromotive force whin gas is normally combusted, and once the anbormal movement occurs, the atmospheric air around the oxygen which contacts the electrode 12 changes to be the air with considerable amount of uncombusted gas to decrease the electromotive force. Therefore, by this change of the electromotive force, incomplete combustion by the imperfect operation of the gas combusting equipment can be accurately detected.
