Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the diaphragm having a required thickness to be inexpensively produced in a short time by rapidly spreading the diaphragm raw material having been heated and melted on the specific substrate then cooling and solidifying the same. CONSTITUTION:Raw material such as B is inserted in pipe-form refractories 4 and is placed on a support base 13 together with a heating furnace 3. A flange part 8 is strongly pushed to the furnace 3 to fix the furnace 3 and secure airtightness so that high pressure gas 10 is supplied only into the refractories 4. A hermetic vessel 12 is put on a base 14 and the inside of the vessel 12 is evacuated. After the raw material 1 is heated and melted by the W heater 5 of the furnace 3 provided with heat-insulating refractories 6, a valve 9 is rapidly opened to allow the gas 10 to be blown into the refractories 4 through the pipe 7. The molten raw material 1 is injected from the portion 4a of a smaller sectional area onto the substrate 2 which is being rotated at a high speed about the center of the substrate 2 as its rotating center by a rotating mechanism 11. The material is then spread thinly, cooled and solidified, whereby the thin plate to become the diaphfragm is formed.
