Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase sensitivity, reduce residual potentials and reduce the fatigue at the repeated uses as well by containing charge-transfer complex which improves the flow of electrons into substrate, in the charge generating layer.
CONSTITUTION: Electron donative material such as polyvinyl carbazole PVK and electron acceptive material such as dinitroindenothiophene of 1/50 to 1/2 mole thereof are evenly dissolved in a suitable solvent. Charge generating type organic pigments such as dis-azo pigments of the formula are dispersed at 2 to 50wt% to the electron donative material. The dispersed liquid is coated on a conductive substrate and is dried, whereby the charge generating layer containing the charge-transfer complex composed of the electron donative material and electron acceptive material is provided preferably to thicknesses 0.5 to 4μ. On this is coated and dried a solution of charge-transfer type material such as PVK, whereby the charge-transfer layer is provided to thicknesses 10 to 50μ and the laminate type electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained.
