Abstract

PURPOSE:To mass-produce magnetic heads for floppy disks having stable characteristics at a low cost by combining and adhering C-type magnetic blocks to the both sides of an I-type magnetic blocks and by subjecting the same to a special working process. CONSTITUTION:C-type magnetic blocks 11a and 11c are adhered with glass or the like to the both sides of an I-type block 11b (such that an element 12a is used as the gap line of a side erase core whereas an element 12b is used as the gap line of a reproducing and recording core). Then, grooves 13a, 13b, 13e and 13d are formed to produce the side erase core and the recording and reproducing core, and the groove protions are fitted with glass or the like. After that, a groove 14 for forming a slider and magnetic circuit separating grooves 15a and 15b for making the sliders of the reproducing core and the side erase core free of electromagnetic influences. Then, the slider surface is polished and the recording and reproducing coil and the side erase coil are wound thereby to produce the magnetic head.
