Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent commutation failure by giving an ignition pulse to a thyristor when the load voltage exceeds a preset level.
CONSTITUTION: Control is exercised in such a way that when load voltage V4 exceeds preset levels LCP1 and LCP2 of converters OP1 and OP2, the sending of an ignition pulse to thyristors S1 and S2 is stopped and that when load voltage V4 falls, an ignition pulse is sent. By this, it is possible to prevent commutation failure.
