CONSTITUTION:Tuner 12 having a tuning variable reactance element, frequency divider 14 which divides the local oscillation frequency of tuner 12, frequency divider 17 which divides the output of reference oscillator 16 oscillating a prescribed frequency, and gate circuit 15 which gates outputs of frequency dividers 14 and 17 are provided. Further, channel frequency memory 23 which reads out selectively a channel frequency code corresponding to the receiving frequency, comparison counter 19 which compares the code of memory 23 and the output of circuit 15 with each other, station counter 6 which controls tuner 12 on a basis of the output of counter 19, and D/A converter 11 are provided. Then, operation unit 29 which operates the code of memory 23 to generate the operation result corresponding to the channel number and display part 31 which displays the channel number on a basis of this operation result are provided.
