Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title vulcanized compound having improved compression set, by kneading an acrylic elastomer latex comprising a crosslinking agent with a fluoroelastomer latex without adversely affecting the properties and processability.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 1W99 parts by wt. preferably 40W95 parts by wt., of a fluoroelastomer latex consisting of vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer is mixed with (B) 99W1 parts by wt., preferably 60W5 parts by wt., of an acrylic elastomer latex comprising a copolymer of (a) 50W99.9 wt.% of an acrylic ester and (b) a monomer having a carboxyl group, and 0.1W20 parts by wt., preferably 0.5W5 parts by wt., based on 100 parts by wt. of the mixed elastomer of a water-insoluble polyepoxy compound as a crosslinking agent, coagulated and dried. The resulting mixed elastomer is kneaded with a crosslinking agent for fluoroelastomers, and hot cured.
