Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled loop controller possible to smoothly control the loop, without generating the excess tension and slack in the traveling material, by installing the loop control limiting circuit between the comparator and the loop control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Between the comparator 3 and the loop control circuit 4, the loop control limiting circuit 13 is installed on purpose to restrict the rate of change with time of the loop controlling output signal to be inputted into the Leonard circuit, under the rate of speed adjustment limiting circuit. This circuit 13 is mainly constituted of the integrating circuit; when the loop position deviation signal exceeds the specified value, the circuit 13 makes constant the output of the loop position deviation signal independently of the size of the loop position deviation signal, and gives this constant output to the loop control circuit. Hereby, the variation of the speed between the mill driving motors behind the looper is determined depending on the set value for the speed of each mill, and the degree of this variation becomes the same value, so that every mill stand finishes its acceleration simultaneously.
