Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible the detection of battery life even during stopping of measurement operations by generating timing pulses according to the operating condition of the stopwatch.
CONSTITUTION: When the stopwatch is in the Run state, gates 4, 24 go ON and changeover gates 6, 12 pass signals 20, 21 respectively. In this case the output signal 23 of the gate 12 is generated once a second and a battery voltage detecting circuit 13 checks the battery voltage at each second. When the watch is in the Reset state, the gates 4, 24 go OFF and the gates 6, 12 pass signals 19, 22. A 100-Hz signal 19 is generated at each 36 seconds as a timing pulse of the circuit 13 by passing through gate 6 second and minute counters 7 and 8 and gate 12. When the Reset state shifts to the Run state, the gates 4, 24 go ON and the gates 6, 12 pass the signals 20, 21 respectively. A decoder driver 10 is then set in the condition of force zero display.
