Abstract
PURPOSE: A decorative sheet of wood that is prepared by providing a fire-resisting layer containing a foaming fire-resisting coating and an inorganic powder on a base sheet of wood and applying a facing material thereon, thus giving fire-resisting properties even to the final articles including the same.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of base plate of wood 1, is coated a foaming fireresisting coating composition containing a flame retarder, a foaming agent, a carbonization agent, a binder, a curing agent, etc., in an amount of 500W1500 g/m2 to form the foaming fire-resisting coating layer 2. Fire-resisting coating layer 3 is formed by coating a fire-resisting coating containing an inorganic powder as that of calcium hydroxide or aluminum hydroxide and a thermosetting and/or thermoplastic resin as vehicle in an amount of over 80 g/m2. Finally, after the fire-resisting layer is smoothened, facing material 5 is applied thereupon using an adhesive 4.
