Abstract

PURPOSE:To limit the peak temperature of dot portions by so setting the width of the plural slender heating elements of the printing dots divided to fine segments that heating patterns become even. CONSTITUTION:A dot part 1 is divided to fine segments by a plurality of slender form heating elements and is gradually reduced of the width of the heating elements as it goes toward the central part C from the end parts L, R. This constitution evens the hot patterns of each part of the dot part 1 and reduces the temperature ripple owing to the plural heating elements, thus the peak temperatures of the dot part 1 are so limited as not to become higher than the specified temperature. As a result, the dielectric strength of the thermal head improves and the thermal head of high reliability is obtained.
