Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct the irregularity in the recording dot arrangement of a recording device by providing plural pairs of nozzle orifices, which are distant from each other by length corresponding to a recording response delay time, in a recording head and switching these orifices alternately in the going scanning and the returning scanning.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of nozzle orifices 11A and 11B are provided in recording head 7 so that they may be distant from each other by positional slippage ΔW corresponding to recording reponse delay time ΔT in the running direction. Then, orifices are switched to perform dot recording by orifice 11A in going scannings L-1 and L-3 and by orifice 11B in returning scannings L-2 and L-4 respectively. Thus, the irregularity in the recording dot arrangement in the recording direction can be corrected. Otherwise, if the distance between orifices is defined as ΔW and plural pairs of orifices are provided at the distance of a desired distance pitch in the paper feeding direction, the same effect can be obtained.
