PURPOSE:To make shortening of preheating time and combustion heat recovery compatible by increasing heat resistance between burner section in the neighborhood of kerosene vaporizing section and the installation section, and also by reducing heat resistance between burner section in the neighborhood of heating passage on the downstrame side and the installation section. CONSTITUTION:In the length-wise direction of a burner element 1, a half of kerosene entering side - that is, section of vaporizing passage 8 - is not in contact with end section of a flame entering section 4 and bottom surface 14a of a recessed groove 14. However, the remaining half - that is, section of a heating passage 9 side - is in contact with end section of a flame entering section 4 and bottom surface 14b of the recessed groove 14. In this mechanism, combustion heat entering the burner element 1 during the time of normal operation is conducted not to a combustion chamber's wall 11 but to an vaporizing surface 8a. And therefore, as compared with the case in which all were in contact, thermally balancing temperature between this entering heat and the heat utilized for vaporizing of kerosene and heating of primary air becomes higher. And also, as compared with the case in which all wave in contact, preheating time at the time of ignition can be shortened.
