Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve an output and a fuel cost and to eliminate a wrong condition, such as surge and so on, by feed-back-controlling an ignition time under a trace knocking condition after detecting a knocking. CONSTITUTION:An ignition time of an ignitor 6 is decided by adding (5-4) data of a base advance computing circuit 5-3, which decides an ignition advance angle being corresponding to a value detected by a rotative speed detecting circuit 5-1 and a suction pressure detecting circuit 5-2, and data of a correction advance angle computing circuit 5-10 which delays an ignition time by a pre-established angle when the knockings detected are found to be produced at more than a pre-established rate after detecting the rates of knockings which are detected by a detector 4 and occur for the duration of a given number of burning cycles. And is mounted an engine condition determining circuit 5-14, which detects the knocking rate and changes the given number of burning cycles according to an engine operating condition in the case of an acceleration, or in the case of a high speed and a high load and so on.
