Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove fast the dirt sticking to the bulb surface and without hurting the surface, by splashing washing water containing glass beads against the surface of the glass bulb.
CONSTITUTION: Electric bulb 8 is installed to supporting plate 9 with the neck facing downward, and the end of nozzle 3 is positioned near the center of the circular part of bulb 8. When pressurized air is introduced from air supply pipe 5 into closed tank 1, check valve 4a is closed, and washing water 6 is pushed by this air pressure and blown up from nozzle 3 against the top inner surface of bulb 8. At this time, glass beads 7 retained in the bottom of closed tank 1 are also blown up from nozzle 3, together with washing water 6. Washing water 6 flows down along the inner surface of bulb 8 and returns to saucer 2. Thus the dirt sticking to the surface of the bulb can be effectively removed by dissolving action of washing water 6 and polishing action of glass beads 7 without hurting the glass surface.
