Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The wound-rotor type induction motor IM is connected to the Graetz rectifier circuit SR and the inverter circuit SCR. When the power is recovered, the secondary side of motor is shorted with the resistance R2 by giving a signal to the thyristor S2 in order to prevent the destruction of semiconductor by a transient high voltage. When the motor speed is less than the minimum speed of the Scherbius control range, the breaker S3 is opened by a command, a high resistance R3 is inserted in the secondary side of motor to perform a resistance starting. When an instantaneous phase lack is produced, the power breaker S1 is turned off, the thyristor S2 is turned on, the gate of inverter SCR is turned down by signals respectively, and a OFF command is provided to the breaker S3 at the same time.
