CONSTITUTION: The image signals of n kinds sl to sn are modulated by carrier waves fl to fn of n kinds, and the modulated signals sfl to sfn of n kinds thus modulated are mixed at 7 so that the mixed output is amplified and fed to an acoustic- optical element 2. The frequency difference Δf between the adjacent carrier waves of the respective ones is made to provide carrier waves of n kinds so that the higher frequency waves of the carrier waves of n kinds may not be overlapped on any of the respective carrier waves. As a result, the optical intensity of the one-dimentional lights of n number from the element 2 can be constant so that the image having a uniform density can be obtained in the printing operation of the whole black image.
