Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance resolution and achieve the improvement in printing quality by using a vibrating mirror having the conditions of being unable to increase the angle of deflection beyond a certain limit and disposing two or more sets of laser generators.
CONSTITUTION: Laser Lb out from one laser generator 7 is modulated by an acousto-optic light modulator 10. This modulated light L1a is entered to a vibrating mirror 2 via reflected light 11 and scans the scanning length of l/2 corresponding to the left half of a scanning line 4 at resolution point numbers n at the angle of deflection θ by the vibrating mirror 2.
