Abstract

PURPOSE: Output current corresponding voltage is detected and compared with standard signal to produce current limiting signal. This is used with logic circuit which selects thyristors to provide reasonable current for flush welding.
CONSTITUTION: Current signal 18a of terminal 17-1 to transformer 4 wire 4a current is fed from current transformer 18a to detector 19 and formed into comparison 19a which is fed to comparator 20. When the signal 19 becomes equal to standard signal 20a, the comparator 20 transmits current limiting signal 20b to oscillator 21, which, based on standard signal 11a sends frequency signal 21a to logic circuit 22. The logic circuit 22 has flip-flop circuit and AND gate. The AND gate output is used to send pulse signal 22a to pulse generator 23 to produce gate pulse 23a, which triggers thyristors 14-1 to 14-8 to make output voltage zero, setting inverter current capacity to proper value for flush welding.
