Abstract

PURPOSE: For sufficiently cutting down the duration of the liquid reflux generated upon the change-over of operation, to decrease the temperature of a temperature sensing tube securely to the set value thereof in a short period of time by cooling down said sensing tube with the refrigerant flowing in a branch pipe when a temperature sensing expansion valve is not in operation.
CONSTITUTION: When air cooling operation is performed through the change-over of a change-over valve 2 from room cooling operation, the refrigerant in the gas pipe 18 connected to an equalizing pipe 16 is quickly sucked in a compressor 1, the internal pressures of said gas pipe 18 and of the equalizing pipe 16 of a room cooling temperature sensing expansion valve 4 are reduced low and normal respectively in a short period of time. A long time is necessary until the temperature of the refrigerant in said gas pipe 18 provided in the section with a heat temperature sensing tube 12 reaches the normal value thereof upon the change-over of operation. However, the temperature in a small-diameter pipe 14 which is constantly lowered before the change-over of operation quickly reaches the normal value thereof. Therefore, the durations of excessive valve opening and liquid reflux can be cut down sufficiently.
