Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a process at a high speed without waste of processing time by detecting that the original reading scan position reaches the assigned size length which corresponds to the reception paper side at the reception side and by stopping a reading scan at the transmission side at the point in time when recording for one sheet of reception paper set to the reception side ends.

CONSTITUTION: The facsimile equipment which sets reception paper of a fixed size at the reception side on the basis of indication from the transmission side is equipped with divider circuit 1 which generates driving pulse B controlling pulse motor driver circuit 2 by receiving reading-scan start-stop control signal G and basic clock A and coincidence detection signal D from comparator circuit 4. Then, counter circuit 3 is provided which resets by reset signal C before the start of a read and resets by coincidence detection signal D by counting pulse B at the time of the start of the read. Further, comparator circuit 4 is provided which compares constantly the discrete value E of circuit 3 with assigned size length F indicating the read-end position equivalent to the reception-paper size and then generates signal D when discrete value E agrees with assigned size length F.
