Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the effective utilization of the recording time when transfer time is long by so constituting the device that the recorder is beforehand put in an idling state for the specified time and that electrophotographic processing may be started according to the transfer time of recording information.
CONSTITUTION: The signals S1 and S2 indicating the start and end of the information for one page contained in the external information signal are read by a decoder 16. With the information start signal S1 as a reference, the output of a timer 17 which counts the minimum time T1 from the feed of the 1st sheet of the recording paper up to the feeding of the 2nd sheet determined by electrophotographic processing and the information end signal S2 from a decoder 16 are compared in a comparator 18. In the case of a low-speed transfer information signal source, the information end signal S2 is emitted after the time T1 and therefore a control block 15 is controlled by this signal S2 whereby the paper feed mechanism and scanning reproducer are energized. In this way, the idling state is established after the lapse of the time T1 and the effective utilization of the recording time of the case when information transfer time is long is made possible.
